Sometime during 2007, Fisker Automotives was introduced in the market to produce some of the most amazing cars that the industry has ever seen. Although recently bought by Chinese motoring parts company, the Wanxiang Group, Fisker definitely made a mark on its exciting and innovative automobile creations.
And this is why we'd like to put the spotlight on this amazing car manufacturer. This is the real deal – Fisker Automotives definitely made some of the best vehicles that the world continues to enjoy and appreciate today.

The Fisker History
Everything began when Henry Fisker and Bernhard Koehler, who both used to be with Aston Martin, decided to launch a coach-building company. Fisker Coachbuild , the company which they founded, catered to customized orders to produce automobiles based on said specific customer requests.
Their releases, the Latigo and Tramanto, integrated parts from premium vehicles (specifically, parts from the mentioned vehicles used powertrains and chassis systems from BMW 6 cars and the Mercedes Benz SL line).
Fisker and Koehler then decided to launch a company that will be able to deliver better quality and stylish cars for the public. Launched last 2007, Fisker Automotives was created after garnering a combined and whopping $5.2 million investment funding from Palo Alto Investors, and from a generous Italian business magnate, Gianfranco Pizzuto. Seeing the interest and amount of funds secured by Fisker Automotives, it was no doubt that trust to produce innovative automobiles was placed in this group.
Throughout the early years, Fisker Automotives had been responsible in creating designs for some of the most prestigious companies in the world. Some of its most famous collaborations resulted in the creation of the BMW Z8, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Aston Martin DB9, and Artega Gt – all amazing cars even by today's standards!
Also, Fisker Automotives touched upon the idea on creating an electric or clean car to contribute to a greener planet for all. However, this plan came without its fair share of controversy.
The plan to create an all-electric vehicle, unfortunately, was met with resistance on 2008, when Tesla Motors claimed that Fisker Automotives stole and integrated technology for the proposed Fisker Karma. However, the lawsuit filed by Tesla Motors was settled in 2009, towards Fisker Automotives favor.
Fisker Automotives then won and agreed in manufacturing electric cars for the U.S. Department of Energy. With a fund of $528.7 million (a conditional loan) to be part of the department's Advanced Technologies Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program (ATVM).
However, a major roadbump occurred when batteries produced by Fisker Automotives were recalled on 2011.
The stroke of bad luck didn't end there. Fisker Automotives then experienced a massive setback on 2012, when Hurricane Sandy obliterated and entire fleet of Fisker Karmas (338 automobiles!).
The following year, Henry Fisker then decided to resign from the company, which then resulted to a layover of approximately 75% of the firm's workforce. Because of the looming bankruptcy of the company, Fisker Automotives was subsequently acquired by the Wanxiang Group in 2014.
Henry Fisker still retained the Fisker brand name. Because of the purchase of the car company's assets, the Wanxiang Group then relaunched the Karma line of vehicles. Now, the group continues to preserve and enhance its core goal of provide innovative automobiles – good karma is definitely in store with this car brand!

As one of the first cars ever to take a stand on cleaner and electrical power sources, it comes as no surprise that the Karma has a good and big following. Enjoy some good karma today with the Fisker Karma. As a sporty and electrical hybrid ride, this car was a favorite among the elite!
And yet, the Karma does have its fair share of bad vibes. Checking the Fisker karma specs, you'd think that only the best car manufacturing processes have done in the production of this ride. But news of the Fisker Karma exploding did create some bad press – the result, the brand decided to scrap production of this automobile.
As such, and checking on Fisker Karma reviews only, the then-amazing supercar was now regulated as part of motoring history!
